Switching from Omeprazole to NexIUM: Any Difference?

I am supposed to start taking NexIUM and Cerefate to replace the Omeprazole (40 mg.) that I've been on for many years, which lost its effectiveness over time. Has anyone noticed that NexIUM works better than Omeprazole?

Carefate worked much better for me then anything else. I really saw a difference when I went off of it. From what I understood there is damage in my esophogus from the years I suffered.
