Need advice on switching anxiety medication

Hi! I’ve been on Sertraline (Zoloft) for about 6 years now for anxiety but recently I’ve developed a couple pretty bad OCD compulsion’s and just general OCD and sertraline seems to not be working for me anymore but I am so scared to try a new medication. Any suggestions?

I take buspirone with my Zoloft and it’s made a difference for my ocd! Taking them separately without the other didn’t seem to work. But once my psych and I combined the two, it was ✨magical✨ haha

I would say ask your psychiatrist! There are lots of different options, they just have to find which one works best for you. After a couple years sometimes medication can become less effective. I used to be on lexapro for anxiety/ocd/depression, then switched to prozac, and now I’m on Wellbutrin and setraline.
