Suspecting Autism: Overlap with ADD Symptoms

i’ve been suspecting that i fall somewhere on the autism spectrum, however, i’ve not been diagnosed with autism. But i have been diagnosed with ADD so now i’m not sure if it’s just symptom overlap or if i’m genuinely autistic. Has anyone else experienced this? and what was the outcome of the situation?

hi there ❤️ i just took a look at your profile ❤️ my trauma symptoms after losing my mom look like asd symptoms. i tried to ask my dad questions about what i was like as a child, to get a better sense of if i presented as autistic then. hope this helps- and i’m rooting for

There is a lot of overlap between adhd and autism and theyre often mistaken for eachother. I think it worth really looking into :)

Yeah I'm kinda in the same boat. I'm not really sure how much is symptom overlap. And how much is trauma either. I've decided a diagnosis probably wouldn't help that much so I haven't gone looking for it but I might change my mind later.
