Recovery from My First Surgery - Is This Normal?

So I just had my very 1st surgery this past Monday. A lapendectomy, basically replaced c6-7 thru the neck. It's not even been a week yet. I'm already running around doing chores and have no pain from it at all. Is this normal for this surgery? Yes still have the collar on when not laying down. Next apt isn't til 28th. If it weren't for the stitches ya never know I even had surgery. I'm beyond amazed. Is this normal? I feel I have a wonderful neurosurgeon.

Congratulations.. I had L3/4 decompression open surgery 3 weeks ago. I am still in pain, need a stick to walk and stairs are still difficult. The numbness in my legs and feet remain but I am hopeful with time that will improve. Sounds like a miracle to be so well just one week on but I am so pleased for you, albeit I do not know or understand the surgery you have undergone. Cannot comment if it is normal as everyone is different. Keep improving and best wishes going forwards 😊

basically the same surgery, decompression and disc replaced. But they go thru the neck up front. Gotta wear a collar. This will not b my last. I have bilateral sciatica that kills me. My lower is worse, but he had 2 do that surgery 1st coz spinal fluid was being blocked by that. Not sure how long till my next but after this I'm ready!! I do hear it's worse pain tho going straight thru the back.
