I kept getting huge blood blisters on my feet and then it came to a point of getting part of my heal cut off bc my foot got gangrene. I almost died from the infection it was absolutely awful!

My legs get so swollen I can barely pick them up to walk… my family asks why I don’t ask to be put on disability. My lymphedema is secondary. I have fibromyalgia and degenerative arthritis. I’m not sure how that works. I have to push myself to work. Sometimes I come back home crying. I’m so exhausted. It’s overwhelming. But I’m more scared of going homeless.

I know you didn’t ask me but a dr made a mistake during surgery and I got lymphadema from that now I have to have my legs elevated all the time or as much as I can bc sometimes I have to have them down to go to appts and things

It feels hopeless…if you don’t mind me asking is your lymphedema initially from cancer? Mine is not cancer related.

I have. One time I was in so much pain I wished I could amputate both legs. But there is hope. Lymphedema is not hopeless: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DjsqyZBAgFw
