What state are you in? Are you on disability? Have state health insurance? (In California it’s called MediCal) When I was put on disability, I was automatically covered by MediCare, and MediCal as a secondary insurer. There is a program under MediCal (IHSS) that evaluates your home assistance needs, and pays for a home healthcare worker to provide you with help around the house with chores, shopping, food prep, laundry, etc. for the number of hours per month that the evaluator determines your needs are. Hope this helps.
