CBT/DBT classes helped me alot with controlling my emotions. They helped me "retrain my brain" to respond differently to certain situations. Honestly, I would not be where I am in my recovery without it.

I'm trying exercise for now .. and for my being out of shape... That just boils down to just walking. A mile a day and I have to cut that into small increments to reach that goal. Maybe soon I'll get a mile in all at once! πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I'm obese, type 2 diabetic, and a host of other medical issues. I totally understand doing small increments. My psych told me "it doesn't matter how fast or how far you walk. What matters is that you are moving." That helped me a lot. I still can't walk very far, due to back pain. Then of course there's the fact that I injure easily. πŸ™„ Right now I am not able to do much at all because I sprained my knee. UGH.

I had to get on an antidepressant at age 30 because I had lost both parents too young. I also taking anxiety medication. You can try natural if you don’t like taking medication. I also feel my psychologist helps me.

In my 65 years I've pretty much tried them all and none ever seemed to help me. I'm glad you found something. I'd love to see a therapist on a regular basis but every one my ins covers is over booked. It's crazy out here! I'm just trying to walk and get healthier because physically I'm a mess too! 🀣 I got to start somewhere πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
