Should I take a supplemental prescription for depression on top of my Prozac? I see commercials of drugs meant to be taken with an antidepressant that helps manage symptoms, or should I see a new treatment option?
From trying about a dozen different medications over the years, I have found Wellbutrin to be the most effective supplement to my regular SSRI. That might be worth asking your doctor about.
I know other people said Wellbutrin helped them. But personally, Wellbutrin didn't help me. When I used to be on it.
I'm currently on Prozac 60 mg. It helped my depression at first but I noticed it's starting not to.
I hope you find someone who can help.
I take three antidepressants. Zoloft (sertraline), Wellbutrin (bupropion), and Zyprexa (olanzapine). They each serve a different function in my depression/anxiety/chronic pain. It took years of playing around to get the right mix.
