Sudden Bowel Movements and Abdominal Cramping

Does anyone else randomly experience lots of bowel movements back to back in a short space of time, along with lower abdominal/pelvic cramping? This happened to me today and I’ve also got lower left back pain and chest pain. I suspect the chest pain is anxiety related as I have a phobia of vomiting and diarrhoea. I had three large bowel movements back to back in the space of an hour, seemingly without a cause and out of nowhere. Any advice?

My POTS started with that. Potassium dropped a lot with the large bms. ER 3 times in 2 months. Good thing is that's how i found out that i get low potassium. Started spironolactone and much less often and very much less extreme, and 0 ER visits. Worth getting blood tests when it happens. Regardless of the cause, dont panic, take extra nutrients in, mainly electrolytes. Do some deep breathing. Hope it works for you.

Yes, I also have gas when that happens. I will go, then have gas pains and passing it. Then go again about 10-15 min apart. Sometimes it will end in IBS-D. I am having IBS-C right now.
