Kind of desperate for peer answers since studies are scant and my doctor will definitely not give me unbiased information. Has anyone here taken Suboxone for chronic pain?? I've had no luck with traditional fibro meds, my insurance shot down buprenorphine (despite appeals), and now my doctor is saying I should be able to get a Suboxone script without a SUD diagnosis. I do know from experience that opioids help my pain, so that's not an issue-- but how does the naloxone impact the pain relieving qualities of the buprenorphine? Does it inhibit them? Even if you don't know the science, I'd deeply appreciate any answer on whether it's ever helped your chronic pain.

One user mentioned that they have been using Suboxone for joint pain and it has been effective. Another user stated that they use Suboxone along with Zanaflex, which has worked wonders for them. However, one user pointed out that while Suboxone didn't get them high and they didn't experience bad tolerance issues, they did feel withdrawal without it, including rebound body aches, worse fatigue, anxiety, and depression.
