Treatment for Subclinical Hyperthyroidism: What to Expect

I just found out today that my doctor thinks I have subclinical hyperthyroidism. I got a referral to see an endocrinologist. What is treatment like for hyperthyroidism? Does anyone get really sleepy and sleep excessively due to it?

Absolutely!!! I'm always tired and have no energy but I can't usually sleep. It's weird. Also, I gained several pounds. It did finally level out and I have been the same weight since February. Levothyroxine is a medication for hypothyroidism and works very well. They check your blood until the level is normal and then you continue to take the medication. I feel a lot better than I used to but still have some issues. I hope this help and I hope you can feel better as well.
