Have you looked up the side effects so you know what to look out for?

    What is sub-q med??

it's a subcutaneous injection, so like the tetanus shot being so small is a sub-q. It just means it's right under the skin and not into the muscle

The thing about this is if you have side effects you cannot just stop it like a pill. Its in your body for 30 to 45 days or whatever they say.. I wish you the best and hope you don't have any side effects. What's the meds?

that one was not for me, it rocked my gut. Idk why, my stomach is pretty messed up anyway.. but I won't do any inj meds again. But some ppl love it and say it works very well for them

Okay. Let’s turn the table here. What if it works??? No side effects just helps the migraines. And it may take a few injections (3 months maybe) to feel the benefits

I've been taking aimovig injections for half a year. It gives me pretty bad constipation but other than that it's okay. I still have nearly daily headaches but it helps a bit with severity and a lot with my nausea

there are others out there to try. Emgality and Ajovy. Having constipation is no fun. I had IBS and dealt with constipate a lot. I ended up having my colon removed because it was so bad. But if you stay on Aimovig. Increase you water intake. Drink lot of water. And ask your doctor if she or he has other recommendations

thanks,🙏 I plan to ask about those or switch to Botox because I'm not sure my insurance will cover both. I drink a lot of water but because of the way the medication works, I don't feel the bodily urge to use the bathroom almost at all and been having to use laxatives lately.
