Struggling with Zoloft: Is it working?

hey so i’ve been on zoloft for around a little over a half a year, i don’t know whether it’s helping? or if i should do something else i kinda just fluctuate with my moods constantly and it rly depends on the day? my anxiety is better i think? but i can’t really tell. does anyone know what to do or what to look for when they just don’t know if it’s working or not. i still get panic attacks occasionally but i just on a daily basis feel literally nothing like nothings rly funny and it all just seems fake, even things i used to enjoy are just ehhhhhhhhh. maybe i just need to smoke lol, but if anyone has any advice or something lmk :)

Hey!! There are a lot of studies that show antidepressants don’t work on people with bpd. Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) have minimal effect on impulsive aggression in BPD, but may have modest effects in decreasing anxiety and depression. But really they don’t work for anyone with bpd in the way that they work with the average person who is diagnosed with only depression. Nothing really helps with the depression for me, but with the bpd my moods change pretty quickly. So I always know that the depression will pass soon, even despite SSRI’s not working on me. Knowing that no matter what, it will pass eventually, normally it helps me a lot. However, I’m prescribed Xanax for my panic attacks, and when I feel one coming on I take that and normally I feel much much better within 20 to 30 minutes. It’s a godsend for the anxiety. Best of luck ❤️
