Struggling with Weight Loss and Motivation

Anyone have any tips for losing weight? For reference I have been struggling for years trying to lose weight. I have depression, anxiety, and I’m on birth control so that honestly hasn’t helped either. I try to lose weight, don’t see improvement, and eat like shit again. Then cycle back to the beginning. I just want to know how y’all stay motivated to not give up. Also tips for working out too? I’m always tired and sore from working all the time so idk if there’s light workout I can do that would help.

I will advise against trying keto. At first I was super happy. I lost a ton of weight within 2 months. But I was so worried about what I was eating that it was consuming my life and I was getting actual headaches from it. Then when the weight loss slowed down a bit, I started going to extreme keto levels. All it did was make me very sick and I realized I was lacking in nutrition that I needed. Not to mention, I don't believe it's meant to be a forever diet. Once I stopped and slowly added back some "healthy" carbs, I gained most of the weight back. It sent me into a spiral of finding which diet was the "right" one. Now I'm not only struggling with weight but I've now been diagnosed with ARFID.

I'm in the same boat. I lost a ton of weight with veganism, intermittent fasting, and lots of teas (herbs) and supplements. It also helped not having a car and having to walk everywhere 😂 But since I had my son I've gained it all back and haven't had much luck with loosing it.. I'm personally planning to get the duodenal switch next year.

I've learned that eating less will help much much much more with losing weight than mere exercising. Controlling what you eat is an absolute must. Reducing all the extra calories, sugary things, volume, etc. Ain't easy. But it's def possible :) especially at our age
