Struggling with Trust Issues and Expanding My Circle

Hello 👋. I am a happily married woman with two grown daughters that live with me plus a bonus son from my husband's earlier relationship. I struggle a lot with telling people how I feel and saying no because I'm constantly getting asked if I've taken my medication for the day or my opinions are blamed on my disorder from time to time. right now my circle is incredibly small because I've got severe trust issues. I'm trying to grow my circle a little bit because I can't always rely on my daughters or my husband because sometimes they are the issue and I'm not quite sure how to deal with it. thank you for reading and I look forward to getting to know some people on here. take care

Hi, I also have bipolar disorder. I've had it for 20+ yes and have a 23 yr old daughter with bipolar as well. My circle consists of my immediate family and my partner of 21 yrs so I relate very much to having a tight circle of people. I'm new to this app and also looking to meet new people with similar issues and interests, so let me know if you'd like to chat some time.

I understand totally! I go from extreme mania to downhill and dont know how to get back up. It seems like a never ending battle. I just wish i could be normal sometimes, if there is such a thing.

Hi, nice to meet you. My daughters are 20 and 23. My bonus son just turned 30. Hubby and I have been married since 99 and together since 97. Marriage parenting and bipolar disorder are quite the challenge. I just stopped self-medicating about 3 years ago. These cycles and mixed episodes can be so...... Undescribable.
