Struggling with Tamoxifen Side Effects

Got diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma and had partial mastectomy in may , followed by 16 sessions radiation, now I am supposed to start tamoxifen for 5 years and I am having hard time to take this medication knowing all the horrible side effects and trying to figure out if there is anything else as replacement to block the estrogen, any input will be appreciated

I don't have any symptoms yet. My main concern now is about the side effects clots and polips. May be we can share diet tips to how minimize theses risks.

I just get hot at night sometimes . It I'd worth it to me to lower my risk of reoccurring.

Ive been on tamoxifen for 3 1/2 years. I had side effects at first very much like the menopause. Fatique, hot flushed and muddled thinking but these have got better over time. Some people have no side affects at all. If you are unsure maybe discuss it with your oncologist. I hope all goes well for you.
