Does mental health other medical conditions impact your ability to take care of your diabetes? Are there any other druggie diabetics out there? I can’t seem to get my T1D under control or my other illnesses, despite being diabetic since age 5 (I’m 19 now). I’m not addicted to anything but nicotine but sometimes (especially with bipolar mania or depression) I can’t keep myself from doing drugs to escape my current reality, which scares me as a diabetic.
