Struggling with Sleep: Need Recommendations for Medication

Does anyone struggle with sleep? I take trazadone and am winging off Seroquel, due to the fact it made me gain so much weight but helped my mental health so much. Can anyone recommend something sleeping medication i can bring up to my doctor?

Only thing that has helped me was delta 8 gummies. All meds starting building a tolerance for me and or never worked in the first place or made other mental Disorders worse. Delta 8 gummies don’t mess with my depression anxiety or BPD

I'm still figuring out what to do for my insomnia but one trick that always works is zzzquil. I don't want to continually use it simply because of the price and the groggy feeling I get occasionally.

*to correct my last comment, i have complications with melatonin due to my mild sleep apnea but not the supplements i mentioned.

Yes! I still struggle but something that makes me drowsy no doubt and fall asleep is 5htp. If you take 2 at night you’ll fall asleep instantly. Im no doctor but I have mild sleep apnea so melatonin gives me breathing issues at night but do not have complications with that. Valerian root is also good. They are both natural supplements over the counter!

I take 3mg melatonin (relatively low dose) every night at 9:30 for a month to kind of reset my sleep and get into the habit then wean myself off. Or doxylamine succinate if I really can’t sleep. I gained so much weight on seroquel too!!

for me just a lower dose of my adhd medication is prescribed to put my mind at ease and then i take melatonin gummies on top of that and for someone who’s up FOREVER trying to sleep this is a pretty good alternative haha !
