So 5 weeks ago I got sick with a stomach bug and had trouble shaking it. I wasn't able to hold anything down, because of this I wasn't taking any insulin so I didn't drop. I ended up in DKA and spent 24 hr in the ICU. Now almost 3 weeks post-hospital I am still in pain from where they poked me all night long. Nothing really seems to be helping anymore. Hot baths were helpful but now not so much. I feel so broken and useless to my family because I am in so much pain from dull bruises that you can only see in direct light.
