Hello everyone, I am new to this app, and fairly recently diagnosed with RA at age 40. this has been a difficult diagnosis, and struggling with how quickly I am being limited on physical daily activities. I been on Rinvoq for about a year, but feel like it's no longer helping or lessening flair ups like it was during the first 6 months. anyone else here has experience the same? or had any other medications added to the Rinvoq after a while? thanks in advance ☺️

I am getting that most people with this condition, have to switch off medication every so often. This can be recently diagnosed people on new medication, a combination of medication, and periodically those who have had the condition for years have to go back to previous medication they used. I have joined a number of groups, and I have yet to find a single person who have steadily stayed on a medication for longer than 3-4 yrs. It's as of the medication build an immunity very quickly, or the progression of the condition is much more rapid than medication claims to be able to do with slowing it down.

My new doc prescribed Simponi injections every two months but they only last around a month for me. After that, pain at its worst!! I’m looking for a new treatment plan. Be your own advocate!
@Sweet_Lou I just stopped the simponi aria infusion after 3 yrs. I just took my 2nd starter dose of Cimzia. I really hope it works.
@latiaran curious if you had the same experience or why you switched?
