I was just getting used to the idea of my diagnosis and now it has changed. I feel silly because it didn't change all that much. It went from Bipolar 2 to Bipolar 1. That's hardly anything but it kind if feels like my world changed. I don't understand it. If I was getting used to having an official diagnosis shouldn't everything still be fine? Maybe it's that this new diagnosis will also come with a medicine change. I was happy with not noticing side effects of my current meds. I'm so afraid of the trail and error that comes next.

Hi, there's nothing to be afraid of down the road and the fact that your diagnosis has changed doesn't mean anything, the difference between bipolar 1 and bipolar 2 is not very significant, but they just tried to refine the diagnosis that would suit you better. If the new drugs are good for you and don't give you side effects, that's great. keep it up
