revisit some of your favorite art and remember what your message is. it refuels you and you will be more excited to start the project ((:

When it comes to school and projects, I always try to remember that a 20% is better than a 0%. Make the art to your comfort level, and what you feel like you're able to. If you get a D on it, at least it's not an F. It's hard to get that initial push to sit down and do it, but once you get started, it will get easier. Put on music that makes you happy, or a show you've seen a million times, so you can take short little breaks / have background noise. Maybe set a goal! Like "work on this for 10 minutes" and then have a break.

SOOO TRUE. My therapist told me this when I talked to her about wanting to go back to school. I flunked out because I either didn't do my work or didn't want to turn in something that was incomplete. It wasn't until she told me this that I realized had I turned in all my work, even if it was all incomplete, I probably would have at least passed.

this is such h great advice... sometimes I have to get by on something a therapist once said to me "Anything worth doing, is worth doing poorly" when you're surviving depression and regular life.
