Struggling with Mental Health and Lack of Support

I’m a 19 y/o female. I have depressions, highly suspected PTSD, and ADHD (but I think it’s autism). I live at my parent’s house: no job, no car license, no college enrollment. I am severely depressed experiencing flashbacks, nightmares, and severe mood swings. I am on meds and don’t have a therapist. I stay in bed all day because I can’t face reality. It is possible to be so sick that the brain and body don’t function? I know I need to get a therapist, but my parents aren’t exactly supportive. I feel like there’s no way out.

Could you private message me? I’d like to talk through it with you because I struggle in similar ways, maybe I can help

Pills without therapy is not very helpful, they might make it so you can get out of bed, but not actually get any further. It's the magic of meds + therapist that help. Try online counseling, you don't have to leave home, you don't even have to show your face if you don't want to. And i swear to you, there's sunshine ahead, good times ahead. I promise.

I work with people with similar struggles to you at my job. Is there a group home/Adult Foster Care near you? They are designed to help you develop independent living skills, form goals that help you make the progress you want to make, and help to connect you with mental health resources you want/need access to. It may be a good option for you since it would help you get away from your parents and learn to grow into your own self-assured, motivated person. I'm so sorry you're in this situation and I hope things get better for you soon ❤️

Hi ❤️ I feel for you. are there any resources in your area that would allow you to get a full diagnosis? That would help you access the care you need. I’m sorry to hear your parents aren’t supportive. That can be a major roadblock to getting help.
