Struggling with Medication Side Effects

i have been on cymbalta for a few years now. Doesn't work very well. I was on Lyrica for 2 years but I gained 100 pounds. It took me 2 years to loose the weight. Doctor's don't seem to know what else to do for me. I'm very discouraged.

I’m on cymbalta it seems to help but you have withdrawals when you stop taking it!! Good luck.

I have been on cymbalta for awhile myself. If you don't mind me asking, what did your dr put you on Lyrica for? There is a medication that works just like Lyrica but cheaper and i feel it works better for me than Lyrica. I am on gabapentin for nerve damage though. So that's why I asked why u were Lyrica because it helps with nerve damage as well. For things like sciatica and such. But it may treat other things, I'm no dr. Lol

Oh also, I was going to mention maybe talk to your dr about a booster medication for depression that you can take with your cymbalta as well. There are several different kinds out now. I agree with Jamesjc, it makes you really sick if you quit cymbalta cold turkey. It's horrid

I have been on Wellbutrin for years and I had been feeling like it wasn’t working. Doc said Wellbutrin and Cymbalta go together well. It’s been about a month and things have improved
