Depakote made me hallucinate. My dr will not be pleased when he finds out I stopped it on my own

I didn't like Depakote either, and I had to stop taking Lithium for other reasons. I tried an A-typical antipsychotic called Vraylar and it was a game changer. There are very few side effects, i cluding no weight gain or impact on kidney function, and I've been stable now for a few years. I suggest looking into A-typical antipsychotics because there are a lot of them specifically for bipolar disorder. You can even get genetic testing to find out if you're compatible with certain A-typical meds. I hope you find what you're looking for!😁
