Struggling with Medication and Identity

I feel like taking my medication is a trade off between being myself, or doing well in school. I can’t tell if my current treatment is really the best for me. Anyone have a similar experience with their medication?

I've had the same experience, when I take my medication I feel more structured then when I don't take them, my mind quiet, my actions subdued. Like an entirely new person, I don't mind it, if it helps me with my goals or working than I will take it. Sometimes it's scary but overtime you come to realize this is basically the real you but fixed with medication. Not broken
