I deal with a number of gastro disorders so I know how it feels to not be able to eat. I try to eat a bit of one of my favorite meals and I used to try the shakes that contain your daily meal/nutrients (there’s Cinnabon, Froot Loops, etc). Prayers!

Hey Lucky, I'm really sorry to hear you're going though a loss of appetite. It can be really tough but there is another side to it, I promise. When my appetite goes, usually due to my anxiety, the first thing I'll do is get some meal replacement shake powder in (Complan is the brand name in the UK). This contains all the nutrients you'd typically get from a small meal but is much easier to consume - either mix with water or milk. Failing that, I find it helpful to actually go to the supermarket by myself and just let myself buy anything I can bring myself to fancy - at this point eating is your goal so try not to guilt yourself into eating healthily - if you want crisps, buy the crisps! Small snacky bits are good and less pressure than a big meal. If your motivation to cook has also gone then stock up on microwave/oven ready meals. Again the goal is just to eat so the easier you can make the process of preparing food, the better. If you can get someone to either make, help you make food or even just keep you company while you cook/prepare a small meal then this can help. I've had family members not leave the table until I had eaten what they had prepared me and as awful as it was at the time, it was necessary and I'm lucky to have had that kind of tough love. Wishing you the best on this journey - you can do this.

@fishoob thank you for your encouraging words.I always think the worse.I have a family too but I feel all alone.I never had a problem for so long with my appetite and this is not my first depressive episode. I wish you all the best.

"You can try to force yourself 5 full size bites of healthy food during meal times and wash each bite down with water or any drink. You can also find foods that you can stomach, often times it’s stuff that doesn’t have a whole lot of taste like bread or yogurt. Another option is to make smoothies so you just 'drink food' instead of having to chew. Even if your brain is saying you're not hungry, still eat at normal mealtimes."
