i lost my fp about 6-7 months ago. it’s still hitting me really hard. he was the only person i had and he treated me like sh!t yet i still love him. a part of me wishes he misses me too but i know that’s not realistic.

I always sink into a huge depression and then magically find a new one so just give it a bit and you're mind will move on after you're done losing your mind about it

And also I genuinely wish you the best and hope you're doing okay 🤗 Loss and grief are hard but you're stronger than that

I wish I had advice for when you lose your fp. Everytime I've lost one, my brain just finds a new one. However if I lost my current fp, I don't know what I'd do either other than DBT. Coping Ahead for predicted stressful situations, Turning the Mind and Radical Acceptance for accepting loss, lots- and I mean LOTS of Opposite Action to continue to function, Riding the Wave w/ Mindfulness for manageable emotions, and STOP and TIPP for crises. I can tell you where to get a free DBT book by Marsha Linehan herself if you'd like!
