Has anyone else struggled with "intimate personal activity" due to Zoloft or Strattera? My dosage of both just got raised and I'm experiencing some difficulties.

If you already go to therapy, there are a couple tricks to practice with a kind partner that can mentally trick your body to be in the mood, or at least feel ok when your partner is in the mood. It can help span the wait time in-between meds or situations.

For me the sexual side effects of Celexa didn't kick in for like 5 years. I've heard Zoloft is more potent in that department so you could talk to your doctor about trying a different one.

Give it some time. It doesn't last forever

I told my doctor that my zoloft was doing that when I started taking it. He smiled and said, "It won't for too long, I give it to guys with premature ejaculation, it only works for them for a little while" Hang in there, it will get better I promise!

@SBLA wtf? He's misprescribing on purpose. The side effects could really mess someone up

Tbh the majority of the meds I’ve had to take have given me issues with this. I’m currently on 150mg of Zoloft and feel you 100%

@Slater I assume it doesn't get better over time...? 😥

@aevyn at least not in my experience if I’m being honest. But it’s not 24/7, there are still days where I feel like being intimate, just much less often than before I started my meds. I know there are good ways to work around that and a lot of people are still able to feel intimate feelings very well even on these meds- so talking to whoever prescribed them might be helpful. It might seem embarrassing, but they get those questions all the time.
