Struggling with Antidepressant-Induced Weight Changes

I was on Prozac for 10 months and would continuously drop weight.. I am now the tiniest I have ever been. I never had an appetite and when I did would have terrible stomach pain after eating. I am on Zoloft now and feel like I am eating for a family 6. Am I crazy for feeling like I can’t control my body or know when I can eat?

Not crazy at all! That’s what these drugs do.. If you enjoy the benefits of Zoloft overall you could go to a dietitian and make set up a menu so you could control your appetite better

As far as I know, all the SSRIs except Prozac cause weight gain or increased appetite. So, your experience makes sense. Maybe planning your meals before and exercising regularly could help you with that side effect

Not crazy at all i was on Zoloft for 8 months and I always felt like I ate so much, something that helped me was portioning my meals before and not just snacking all day :)!
