Struggling with My Health and Loneliness as a Stay-at-Home Mom

it's been a hard week. I've had to start using my cane everywhere I go and it's kind of embarrassing as an overweight woman. I'm a stay-at-home mom and it gets kind of lonely how is everybody else doing

Also an overweight woman here 👋🏻 and I have to use either my cane or walker everywhere I go and it sucks. Sometimes I can move around the house without them, sometimes I can’t. Luckily the house is single story, and I don’t often need to go to the basement. I’m not in a great place mentally, but I recently restarted therapy, and that helps. It really sucks going grocery shopping, I feel like people probably wonder why I’m using one of the scooter things since I’m 33 and especially if I bring my cane, fold it up, and put it under my thigh. No one has ever demanded an explanation though, so that helps, and my therapist reminding me to make sure and do things to help ease the pain not make it worse. If the cane embarrasses you, maybe customize it, or have your kids help you customize it? Make it fun! There’s nothing wrong with it. I feel like someone will try and call me out, but I don’t mind my cane or walker. Right now, I have socks on my walker, and the front pair is fantastic, they have a picture of my nephew on them! They’ll come off when I leave the house, but for the moment, it makes me so happy! As a side note, I’m considering putting stickers on my walker, or painting it in funky patterns. ♥️

I actually just put some left over diamonds from my diamond painting on my cane. I'm also 33. my son has been putting stickers on my other cane for me and my walker lol
