Struggling with Grades and Mental Health

I’ve not been doing well for a few months and my grades have gone very downhill. Today at school my principal and counselor both pulled me out of class at different times to talk to me. Any helpful thoughts of encouragement?

Nothing is more important than your well-being, including school. Yes, it is important to try hard in school, but you can’t fully do that unless you’re well prepared to face it. If you need to take a week off of school to let yourself breathe, then do it. And if you’re bored, then force yourself to try new things, take a walk everyday and look around. Try to notice small things you’ve never even noticed before. I did this a couple months ago when I was at the lowest I’ve ever been and it helped me more then I thought it would. I hope that you know how important you are and I hope that this helped even if it was just a little bit. Anyways, I believe in you. You can conquer this

I've definitely been there! In truth, my grades didn't start going up until I prioritized myself over my work. Before, I would force myself to try to get work done and be miserable and it would come out poorly anyway. Now, on harder days I give myself a break and talk to my teachers about getting an extension so I don't push myself into a spiral.
