Struggling with Flip-Flops and Drop Foot

Do you have drop foot or do you struggle with flip-flops? I just had to get rid of my cheap pair of flip-flops and buy strappy sandals because I have a issue where the toe of the shoes folds under and tries to trip me.

if your looking for some closed toed shoes, that are duper light ever, I just got a pair of "HeyDude's." They're basically socks with soles and are light as a feather!! I love mine and they come in a bunch of styles and colors 😁

And yes, I have drop foot. Originally just in my right foot, but I'm having a few symptoms on my left side recently. I find that it helps if I take my time when I'm walking, and try to look down at my feet as much as possible (while still paying attention to my surroundings). Also, I try to be aware of every step and consciously pull my foot up with every step. It helps reduce my number of falls.

I do best with those expensive strappy Teva sandals. They are worth the investment, and should last a few summers. My physical therapist recommended them, and I have never looked back.

I'm the flip-flop queen. I do notice when my foot doesn't pick up all of the way, I drag bits of my flip flop on the ground or it gets folded under my toes and I trip. I feel like normal shoes are too heavy for my feet, so I end up barefoot a lot.

Constantly! I feel the LLbean flip flops make me trip less out of all of my flip flops. About $35. They are light and they fit your foot better as you lift up. Sending positive vibes! Good luck! 💕
