i have this friend that we agreed to be friends with benifits. i've started to feel myself liking them a lot, but fear the feelings aren't/will never be reciprocated. i go back and forth from thinking i have strong feelings for them, to thinking i'm just in love with the idea of them. i guess i want to know is if anyone else struggles with being head over heels over someone one moment, and then sort of numb toward them the next. as it's been a thing that bothers me a lot.

Oh boy do i feel you. Yes 100% in fact i’m currently in this situation trying to get over someone i dated who was a fwb but now i think i may be falling for someone else. It sucks because of my PTSD i feel like i will never truly be loved the way i deserve… so i 100% feel you here. Its tough. My advice: establish good communication and boundaries/rules for the FWB situation early on so you’re clear

I feel like it happens more when I’m not grounded in my life and am dissociating more often.

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE!! I do this so much. I was never sure exactly which of my conditions caused it. So glad to not be alone!

@Bella.ella it's hard to describe it, but it's not a fun fluctuation tbh
