Does anyone else with ASD struggle with eye contact only with people they’re close to? I can make eye contact with people I don’t know all day, but if it’s one of my friends or family members I physically can’t

Yes, I can make eye contacts with my new boss all day. But put me in front of my mom and I can’t look into her eyes

For me it's the opposite, I can usually make eye contact with people I know, but strangers are so hard to do it with. The only issue I have with people I know is that when I'm having a conversation and it's my turn to talk I look somewhere else, then I look back at them when they start talking lol.
