Struggling with Epilepsy: Need Advice

How do y’all even live with epilepsy? I’m trying my best, I’m trying s o hard but I can’t seem to go a couple of days without a seizure and it’s just awful. It’s affecting my mental health so much. I finally made it into my dream nursing school and I have to drop out. Meds are only making it worse. I feel like a burden to my friends and family. I just don’t know how to keep going and I don’t even want to keep going if my life is gonna be like this. I see my doctor tomorrow to get my meds changed AGAIN but if you guys have any advice or alternative ways of dealing with epilepsy it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much, I love this community ❤️

If meds are not controlling your seizures have you considered surgical options? We tried for years to find something to control my seizures and they only got worse and more frequent. They went from months apart to eventually basically every day. In 2020 I had a laser ablation, where they found the small spots misfiring and used a small laser inside a catheter inserted through small hole in my head to just zap the trouble spots away. I have not had another seizure since the day before this surgery.
