Struggling with Enabling My Son's Addiction

My son has a drug & alcohol addiction, I may be enabling him & hurting myself in the process. In an effort to do what I feel would help him change, I’ve struggled to stick with my decision to separate myself from him. Looking to connect to ppl with a similar experience. This is majorly affecting my life. It’s clear after countless attempts none of my efforts alone can make him change. I want to finally enforce that decision long term & no longer make it my responsibility to clean up after the consequences of his actions.
