Hey, y’all! I deal with multiple conditions and know a good routine would help. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I try, I’ve discovered that I’m not a very disciplined person. :( when I divert a lot of attention to being disciplined, my ocd takes it to an extreme and it makes everything worse. Any tips on how to account for these discipline weaknesses? I know how important routine can be for us chronic illness warriors!

I struggle with sticking to routines as well. What I found that helps is an app called Structured, as well as treating the routine as something fun

I don't know that I have any advice, but I can totally relate. I understand the importance of having routines, but actually starting one and following through is hard! If I have to come up with activities myself I get stuck on deciding what to do, but at the same time if someone tells me what to do I don't want to listen for one reason or another. For me overthinking everything kind of messes with actually doing productive things. I hope you find what works for you. :)

i also really struggle with routine, but i’ve recently realized that i probably won’t get better unless i establish a routine. i honestly don’t have many tips, but i just downloaded this app called Structured where you can plan out your day. i’ve been creating a routine for the next day right before i fall asleep, and to prevent myself from getting stressed out, i’m not strict about the routine, but i just use it as a guideline for my day that i can refer back to if i feel myself losing sense of time. still not sure how helpful it’s been, but that’s what i’m currently doing. good luck!
