Struggling with Depression and Anxiety

Hi my name is Maria…. I have depression and anxiety… today was one of those days ( my day off from work) that I didn’t do anything I literally laid in bed all day… does this happen to anyone? I feel so alone and guilty when I get days like this.

It's OK to give yourself permission to relax, even it it's for a full day or more. I used to feel guilty and would say negative things about my self about it but I realized that I must be patient, forgiving and loving towards myself before I can share those feelings with others.

You should absolutely have No guilt in having a or many personal days to yourself! Enjoy it and do whatever it is you want. If laying in bed and taking a nap all day is what your body says then enjoy that. Exactly what CarlyC said “listen to your body”!

Girl it's okay to just lay in bed when we don't feel 100% it's the way our bodies need to heal and recover don't feel bad just listen to what your body wants and needs

yes!!! i recently got diagnosed with depression, add, and anxiety and this is totally normal. do not feel guilty abt it because this happens to mostly everyone with depression and it is fine. laying in bed can actually be so much more healthy for your mental health sometimes. let’s say a friend wants to go out and hang out with you one day but you just want to lay in bed. that is totally fine and everyone needs mental health days. laying in bed all day has been said to be very bad for your mental health, but my personal opinion is that taking breaks and giving a day to just relax is so much better for you. hope this helps ❤️ ❤️
