Struggling with the Decision to Have Children

Lately I’ve been thinking about children a lot. I wanted them when I was younger, but now the thought of my child having any of the medical issues that I struggle with, is unbearable. I spent years suffering and chasing a diagnosis, and thinking that my future child may have to do the same is heartbreaking. I am in my mid-30’s and I recognize that I won’t have forever to decide. I don’t want to miss out on parenthood, but I can’t help but feel selfish for even entertaining the thought of it. Anyone else struggle with this?
