how do you guys cope? I'm struggling right now, it's like my pain came on so quickly and I'm not myself anymore. my house is a mess and a month or so ago I was strong enough to clean it and lift stuff. now when I do one thing I get in so much pain I get winded. I have a five month old and I just wanna be a good parent but it's hard when I'm like this. my depression is kicking in because I associate my worth with how productive I am and it's just hard right now. what would you do?

Do you take pain medication? I take codine and honestly it's really helped. Always speak to your doctor though.

I struggle with completing housework and other things when my pain is bad as well. I’ve found that if I just focus on 1 thing a day like clean the sink, wash the dishes, vacuum this room, pick up my shoes, etc. and do that for a couple of days, then I will begin to feel more accomplished and it helps with my motivation to do other things. It’s like start with small goals and just accomplish those and then slowly work your way up.

One suggestion is to take it one day at a time and know your physical limitations. Break tasks into smaller parts and focus on doing one chore at a time. It's important to build a supportive community around you and remember that needing rest and help does not mean you are failing, but that you are human. Reach out to friends or family for support and try to communicate your feelings with them. Remember, you're not alone in this struggle.
