Struggling with Celiacs Diagnosis

I'm in the process of being diagnosed with Celiacs disease. been having trouble with stomach issues for years, along with vitamin d deficiency. I have randomly have broken multiple bones for no apparent reason over the years. the blood test indicates that I probably have it but I'm waiting for a scope and biopsy in October for an official diagnosis. it all feels so overwhelming

And then old age was the excuse.

I can relate. Migraine headaches and stomach issues since I was 16. 87 now and became aware of salicylate sensitivity during my 50s. Have several broken bones the past 10 years. Finally found out that eating a piece of bread would send me to bed for days. I chose to go gluten free in my own. No doctor over the years looked for celiac. Lots of gas lighting because I was female.

Stay strong! It can be really difficult to get a positive biopsy test especially if you haven’t had gluten in your diet in a while. I had the same issues my entire life! I am so happy your at this part in your journey! All I can suggest is to listen to your body! Although diagnoses provide closure and affirmation, they aren’t completely necessary to make those lasting changes and provide insight! Regardless of the results, you’ve come this far! Cut that gluten out, take vitamin D supplements and see how your life turns around!
