It's not just pint up energy, though getting pint up energy out does really help! I had the same problem, Zumba or just dancing to music and meditation can help a lot. When you go off you could SERIOUSLY hurt yourself or someone you love weather that is mentally or even physically, and you don't even know it, I didn't for YEARS. I actually severely abused my younger sister all throughout our childhood... Once I realized how strong i was When I went off it scared the fuck out of me, then is when I realized I really hurt the people around me. When you realize and understand your strength when you go off you can start applying it to everything you do in a healthy way, and managing it gets easier. You could go to jail if the meltdown is bad enough and someone calls the police. we are mentally ill, but acting out on other people or things is still not acceptable.

Well if you are against meds then exercise and a good routine are your best bet to help remain stable. Go to bed and wake up the same times everyday.

Do you have bipolar 1 or 2?
