I was recently diagnosed with bipolar 2 so we’re trying out lithium to see if it works. Negative ideations have decreased but motivation is still nonexistent. We’re switching out my antidepressant for a new one so I’m hoping that will work out. For the past year I have been unable to get myself to do anything productive for myself, meaning that I’m behind in school and unable to fully pay rent. I am lucky to be in a position where my family can help but they are getting tired of this and so am I. Does anyone have any encouraging words I can repeat to myself besides “Just do it”?
