Struggling with ARFID and OCD, Need Suggestions

i’m struggling really bad with arfid, not getting even a bit of enough of the stuff my body needs and it’s miserable. my ocd makes any change to my comfort routine ruin my day and i spiral. one small thing i’ve done that may or may not help anyone in any way, at lunch, i ALWAYS got the pizza and felt sick considering anything else. They changed the pizza and it really ruined my routine for a while of getting my pizza, so i eventually had to move to the pbj. to challenge myself, i try to get other foods very occasionally that i may like, even though it’s not my routine lunch. i got chicken tenders today, sometimes popcorn chicken, sometimes corndogs. and that’s how i try to implement enough change to grow and not spiral :) any other suggestions for ocd or arfid very greatly appreciated!

I am the same way with arfid, if it’s not routine then it really throws me off. The best thing I can offer, because I still struggle with this, is find multiple comfort foods that you know you can enjoy or at the very least nourish yourself. Mine are similar to the ones you listed but i’ve tried to find more like a beef quesadilla is easy for me, almost anything chicken. So just explore where you’re comfortable and find what is easy for you. Because we need food and not having enough is uncomfortable. I’m struggling with the OCD portion of my arfid but maybe try asking what would happen if you eat at a different time or a different food, I know it’s uncomfortable but it won’t be the end of the world and I think changing the thought process might help. You can message me if you want to talk or anything!
