Struggling with Alopecia: My Journey to Self-Acceptance

Does anyone else here have alopecia and what were your struggles with it? are you okay with it now? I was diagnosed since 8 and it's been a rough journey especially since I'm a female and hair is like a girl's beauty. I grew depressed and self conscious because of it and it made me develop an eating disorder because then I focused on my body since I didn't have my hair. I've learned to love and embrace it since I can't change it. Over time I've adapted to it and it doesn't bother me but I always wish I had it and that it'd re-grow so I didn't have to wear a wig. I know some people go out bald and I think they're beautiful and awesome but I personally can't do it yet. but yeah it definitely like changed my life in ways I wouldn't think it would but I'm glad because it made me stronger and learn to love myself more. I do cry about it somedays though because I do tend to breakdown with my other personality disorders I also suffer from anxiety and sometimes I worry people stare or notice though I shouldn't care about it but it does deep down bother me a bit. Thx for sharing your experience.
