Struggling to Sleep on Zoloft: Any Suggestions?

Ever since I got on Zoloft I have been struggling to sleep. (Doc says it’s fine bc the medication is working for my anxiety-so sleep ig is something I have to give up in order to feel better💀)At times I feel tired but right when I get in bed all I do is toss and turn and then I’m just wide awake. I sometimes take melatonin but it usually doesn’t work…any suggestions???

I suggest bringing Hydroxyzine up to your doctor, a low dose 15 or so minutes before bedtime, and shut screens off about that time as well. Potatoes as a bedtime snack should also help.

What time do you take the Zoloft? Sometimes, changing the time you take meds can make a difference in how it works for you. My son took a med when he woke up but had a hard time sleeping. He started taking it at bedtime (after talking with his Dr to make sure it was ok) and started sleeping better. I hope you can find answers that help you sleep better. I know how frustrating it is to be tired but do nothing but lay in bed unable to sleep.
