Struggling to Sleep: Any Tips?

Hi everyone I was wondering what if anything you do to help you sleep? I have been on Ambien and now Belsomra and if I do sleep it’s only a couple hours

Can you help? Connect today

I’ve struggled a lot too. I’ve tried ambien, lunesta, and a couple others. Right now I’m taking a combination of zaleplon and doxepin and it’s helped me the most out of anything. I fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. Maybe you can ask your provider about it.

I usually listen to storms or calm music and take melatonin. Weight also works for me so I have a 25 pound weighted blanket when I sleep.

Well there's other noises like meditation, waterfall, classical music, piano, waves, etc. It's just rain works best for me 🤗

Rain on my sound machine helps me the most. And I learned some good relaxation skills on the Calm app. I use a sleep mask with blue tooth sound that I found on Amazon. The weighted blanket also helps me.

I'm taking Trazadone and melatonin. It was working well until I had shoulder surgery now that pain and stomach pains from other meds are interfering.

Not sleeping is awful. Mine is due too fibromyalgia pain and hernia mesh pain when I sleep on my side or belly( favorite sleep positions) and last but not least urine frequency. I use a lot of pillows between my knees up against my back just in all different positions. Until I can get comfortable. It truly is not easy and I don’t stay asleep for too long but if I don’t use the pillows I can’t sleep at all.
