How do I do my homework? I want to work on it so bad. I want to focus so bad. It feels like my brain is off and I'm struggling to turn it on, it feels like I physically cannot. I felt burnt out, so I took a break, but now my brain doesn't want to get going again. I made a plan to catch up, but I really have to stick to it, and I'm struggling to keep going.

Break up big tasks into really tiny ones. For example if you have any essay. Work on one small part of it instead of the whole thing. Like the intro, then the thesis and so on.

@Opalestial using the Pomodoro technique has helped me, it’s a timed technique

I've rearranged my room recently and I've found having a dedicated space for studying can be really helpful, I used to have a lot more stuff but then I've let go of things I've had more space to have a desk. It's almost like having more space to think haha.

I tried making space ideal for my studying, studying with a friend, making a review guide before I even do the assignments… not a lot can make you do it until you want do analytically and because you’re engaged in the activity. I let myself get up and get tea and come back. I rework all the material so it’s in a better format for me… I also used writing everything down on a checklist to get the satisfaction of checking it off

One method suggested is to set up a space with as few distractions as possible, and set a 10 min timer. Just do 10 min worth of homework. If at the end of 10min you are really focused on the work it's okay to keep going. If not take a break and do something you like but set another timer. Another method is to make a list, put on music, and start your tasks. Marking things off the list as you go can help a lot. Some people also find it helpful to delegate specific times for tasks or short goals. For example, write an essay for 30 minutes, then hang up 5 shirts. Do other assignment for 5 minutes. Then maybe unload just the plates and bowls in the dishwasher. It helps because you could kind of visualize a meter in your head saying "This task is 20% complete".
