I constantly struggle to find safe foods. I'm avoiding dairy, peppers, onions, garlic, artificial sweeteners, and yellow or red dyes. It seems nearly impossible to truly avoid these in modern America, but I try. any suggestions for quick meals or snacks?

      @not_b00bs some stores have an isle labeled as "lunchbox items" and that's a good place to start :)

      i recommend snacks made for kids! my comfort foods are basically anything you would feed to a small child, and if you know how to look it's easy to find snacks that are free of artificial colors and flavors. if you're looking for something more flavorful since kid's snacks can be dull sometimes, i recommend hitting up your local trader joe's or farmer's markets. if you're in the mood for something sweet, capri sun makes good juice and yumearth makes organic, kosher, delicious candies

      The first thing that comes to mind for quick snacks is fruit. Maybe oatmeal with fruit as well. Other than that I can think of potatoes (I liked to cut some up, season them and bake them - you can do this with other veggies as well), and various combinations of meat, tomatoes, beans, grains, and veggies. Though it's difficult to avoid onion and garlic in recipes. One thing you could try is a stir fry - various vegetables, chicken, noodles if you'd like, and your sauce or choice or just a little soy sauce, oil, and salt or something (I'd also say pepper but not sure if you mean avoiding like ground black pepper as well)
